Top Five Marinas Across the Country!
For boaters who want to experience new locations, choosing the best marina can seem overwhelming. When choosing a marina, there are many factors to take into account no matter your boating experience or background. With that being said, you should make sure to do your research in order to choose the best fit for you. Here is our list of some of the best marinas in the country.
1. David L. Clinch Marina—Traverse City, Michigan
Grand Traverse Bay has always been a location that attracted an abundance of boaters, and rightfully so. The area is beautiful, especially in the spring and summer months when the cherry trees and beaches are at their peak. Also, the city gives a small-town feel while still offering many amenities including shops, restaurants, breweries, and seasonal festivals. In addition, the slips at the marina will not break the bank!
2. Roche Harbor Marina—San Juan Island, Washington
Boating on the beautiful waters of San Juan Island is one of the best ways to experience the Pacific Northwest. In its prime location tucked away, it is accessible mainly by boat as well as an airplane. This location is unique as it gives you an experience you won’t find anywhere else. This area is the place for a wide variety of activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, whale watching, triathlons, wine tasting, and taking in the Northwest culture. Roche Harbor is connected to the Roche Harbor Resort and sits on the Northwest side of the island and is close to the town of Friday Harbor.
3. Miamarina—Miami, Florida
At Miamarina, you are right in the center of the city which allows you to take in all of the sights the Miami area has to offer. It’s close to some of the top-rated restaurants, the Klipsch Amphitheater at Bayfront Park, and near all of the Miami nightlife hotspots. Since this marina is a top destination for celebrities and public figures, it is on the more expensive side but defiantly worth every penny.
4. Marina Del Rey Marina—Los Angeles, California
Marina Del Rey Marina is one of the top marinas on the list to keep your boat. It is the largest constructed harbor in North America, where it offers unbeatable amenities and like Miamarina, is a go-to for the rich and famous. While it is on the expensive side, the price comes with anything and everything you could need in a marina. Also, if you are a foodie, this is definitely the marina for you as it has year-round dining and award-winning food.
5. Regatta Pointe Marina—Palmetto, Florida
Another option for a high-quality marina in the Florida area that won’t break the bank is Regatta Pointe Marina. This marina allows you to enjoy all of the Gulf’s beauty without the crazy crowds and high prices. This is a great option for anyone wanting to enjoy a “getaway” without having to leave Florida. They also offer amazing amenities such as great food at the Riverhouse Reef & Grill, free WIFI, a salon, and a fitness center!
