Company Description
Off The Hook Yacht Services is a full-service boatyard strategically located in Wilmington, North Carolina, and part of the Off The Hook Yachts, the largest buyer and seller of used boats and yachts in the country.
Job Overview
Off The Hook Yachts is seeking an experienced marine service professional to manage and oversee the general operations of our boatyard, service technicians, and contractor base. Our 12-acre property on the North Cape Fear River in downtown Wilmington includes a 70-ton travel lift and 120’ paint booth.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day service operations including scheduling and distribution of work for service technicians, contractors, and yard crew.
- Hire, train, motivate, coach, monitor, and evaluate contractors and service staff. Instill a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare estimates for internal Off The Hook Yachts, and external jobs, listing costs of parts and labor, communicating directly with internal sales team and external customers.
- Coordinate training and continuing education for staff.
- Routinely inspect the quality of work performed as required, prior to delivery to the customer. Implement a safe, effective, and efficient working environment.
- Collaborate with Financial Controller to manage billing and achieve financial metrics.
Requirements and Experience
- Team player, clear communicator, and disciplined individual
- 3 years of operations management in marine service or manufacturing
- Technical understanding and experience with mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic components of a variety of makes, models, and manufacturers
- Travel lift operations and safety protocols
Compensation
- $65,000 – $85,000 based on experience
