Meet Scott White
Born in North Carolina and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Scott developed a strong work ethic and deep connection to the water early in life, spending his summers in Cape May since 1977 before becoming a full-time resident in 2000. His foundation in the marine industry began during high school and college, working as a mate aboard a private sportfishing yacht in pursuit of white marlin—an experience that shaped both his discipline and hands-on knowledge of boating.
After graduating from the University of Delaware, Scott earned his Captain’s license from the Chapman School of Seamanship and advanced to captain of the same vessel he had dedicated seven years to as a mate. His career took him from Cape May to Ocean Reef Club and throughout destinations such as Isla Mujeres and the Bahamas, where he gained extensive experience operating and managing high-value yachts in a wide range of conditions.
Known for his hard work and commitment to excellence, Scott eventually transitioned from running boats full-time to building a career in yacht sales. In 2003, he founded his own brokerage and later aligned with United Yacht Sales in 2010. Over 23 years, his consistent performance, strong industry knowledge, and unwavering integrity earned him top honors including Most Commission Dollars and Most Boats Sold, along with recognition as a trusted leader among his peers.
Scott’s success is driven by a combination of experience, technical knowledge, and a tireless work ethic. His integrity and straightforward approach have earned the trust of his clients, while his ability to navigate complex transactions and close deals sets him apart in a competitive industry.
