Meet Ethan Pawlak, Westbrook CT

Ethan grew up in East Hampton, CT with five siblings where he spent a lot of time boating on the town lake, Lake Pocotopaug, as well as the Connecticut River. During high school, he worked at a local marine repair shop where he found a new love for boats and realized he wanted to spend his life surrounded by them. He spent the next couple of years working as a mechanic doing everything from yearly maintenance to shrink-wrapping and electronics installs to full motor swaps.  

Later on, Ethan had the opportunity to join forces with Castaway Customs, SeaDek’s largest fabricator. There, he started from the ground up as they were the first location in the Northeast. He worked with everything from scanning decks to installing them and sales to dealer networking. Eventually, he started his own business, Connecticut Castaway Customs, and currently still owns and operates it from New Jersey through Massachusetts. With this business, he has been able to build life-long relationships with individual customers and dealerships throughout numerous states. With over 13 years in the industry, he has accumulated a well-rounded knowledge of many different manufacturers.
