I grew up in Erwin, NC where I spent most of my time enjoying the outdoors with my grandpa. I quickly found a love for fishing and boating around the local lakes and farm ponds. When my father saw my passion he set out to help me follow my dream by hiring local charter captains around Wrightsville Beach during the summer and on the weekends to teach me all that they knew. Dad and I then began getting into tournament fishing where we were becoming very competitive and decided to do it full time on the SKA Pro Tour.
I moved to Wilmington with my dad in 2006 to be closer to water and the boating community and to continue learning all that I could about boats and fishing. I began working at local marinas in my free time from school and it was there I learned that I wanted to do something with boats as a career, but I just didn’t know what yet. Fast forward a few years and I learned that selling boats would be the career that I wanted to pursue.
I sought out multiple sales positions around town to learn about different aspects of customer service and how to become a salesperson. I quickly became one of the top performers due to the fact that I wasn’t focused on the sale, but instead providing the best customer service possible. I then began to try and learn about every aspect of all the boats that I could. I got a job at a local boatyard where I started detailing boats and then moved on to paint and fiberglass repair. Which now has brought me to my dream job of becoming a Broker at Off The Hook Yacht Sales.
